What you need are

Basic set up

Basic cameras

High resolution/HD  camera

LEDs for extra light in the nest box

Mains power and if you're running multiple cameras you'll need a splitter cable which come in 2, 4 or 8

Audio, video cables mini cable tie flags to number the cables

A 4, 8 or 16 channel digital video recorder make sure it has equal video and audio inputs

To flick between multiple cameras without a DVR you'll need a switch box

If you are going to transfer your recordings on to a computer you need a phono cable to link to a computer

High end camera set up

IP camera very high spec. You will need a NVR and 6-8TB hard drive
