Concaves for Nest Boxes

We are now able to supply concaves for your swift nest box projects.

The cost of a concave is £3 plus postage of £2.10 Two concaves can go in a large letter box for the same cost. For larger quantities we can check the small package postage cost. Around 8 should be around £3.69

Why bother with a concave? Firstly it has been proven that swifts like them. It may be it feels like there is already a nest in the box. A concave is a safe place for eggs to be laid compared to a simple hole cut in plywood. Our concaves are 1.5cm deep. Future concaves will have a 5mm vertical drop down to a 2cm deep concave. Very often when a concave is present swifts dont bother making a nest but some pairs add nest material during incubation.
